The San Michele Arcangelo Onlus Foundation , made up of members of the State Police, their families and supporters is pleased to formalize the imminent opening of the first Family home for unfortunate children , concerted with the Giovanni Palatucci Association, last Quaestor of the Italian City of Fiume, recognized by Yad Vashem as Righteous Among the Nations.
Palatucci, during the Second World War, distinguished himself in the interest of the persecuted up to the extreme sacrifice, dying of hardship in the Dachau concentration camp.
The Compendium is located in Artena Metropolitan City of Rome, a few kilometers from the Grande Raccordo Anulare, easily reachable thanks to the Rome-Naples highway taking the Valmontone exit, also known for the Playground and the Outlet in via Colle Siciliano N.5, in the homonymous district.
The Organizations, having perceived the need of the territory, have opted to undertake the initiative with the intention of spreading the deeds and moral virtues of Palatucci among the new generations in the welcoming structure with a family spirit destined to host unfortunate young children.
The Compendium is included in the broader project of the " Technological Polo Attractor of the Territory and the Social PTA-TS", recipient of illustrious sponsorships and container of the Eden Project with presentation of data at Expo Dubai 2020 , where young people can try their hand at being able to acquire the skills needed for a tangible opportunity of accessing the world of work.
The center will be organized in two separate structures " EDUCATIONAL COMMUNITY OF READY RECEPTION" and "Apartment Group", offering an opportunity for relational and educational training continuity. Subsequently, an expansion of volume destined for social and training is expected.
Guests will be accommodated in double and triple rooms, providing them with an opportunity for change, benefiting from the specialized team of operators, offering children hope for a new life, since some have never had the opportunity to improve socially, culturally and morally.
Today we find ourselves in the imminent withdrawal of authorizations, we endorse the team spirit that binds all the Men and Women of the State Police, their relatives and supporters, and we ask them to collaborate to the success of the initiative.
